We welcome volunteers of all ages! It is important to us that people are matched with their interests and skill level. Volunteers do not need to have experience with animals yet might be limited in what is assigned.  Volunteers must be able to work independently, once trained, and always follow barn rules.  Adults must oversee any children volunteers.

Interested in volunteering?  We ask all potential volunteers to meet with Leigh, the owner of Cloud 9 Farm first, prior to making any commitment, to make sure it is a good fit.  You can reach Leigh by text or voicemail at 603-854-4948.  Her email is: leighbry444@gmail.com.  Leigh will then give you directions to the farm.

Time Commitment: We are flexible about the amount of time that is offered to us. Volunteers can come for a couple of hours, work occasionally or as needed,  or have an on-going commitment with us.

Community Service Hours:  Because Personal Ponies Ltd. is a national non profit organization, community service hours are available to high school students. Volunteering for PP is an unique addition to any college application as well.

Types of tasks available:
  • Exercising the ponies - they get walked around our neighborhood
  • Training the ponies or goats to do tricks or walk around obstacle courses
  • Spring/fall clean-up in the pasture - a great way to get a community service hours in a short amount of time
  • Go on local off-site visits: we need at least 2 volunteers per pony.  We have delightful times visiting at places like Camp Allen, a local overnight camp for children and adults with special needs
  • Site visits: we need  at least 2 volunteers to help orchestrate visits with families and children.  Visits can include helping visitors groom the ponies, pet the animals, help them do tricks, take the ponies around an obstacle course
  • Barn chores:  the usual mucking and tidying up around the barn, paddock and pastures. Actually quite a calming task for many
  • Socializing:  the ponies and goats can never get enough love and attention - they soak it up!
  • Building something for the farm:  the goats would love a playground made of tires which would entertain the ponies as well. Other projects available as well
  • Taking photographs: we need people to take photos of the visits, on site and off site, and get photo releases signed
  • Helping our bunny Lucy be a service pet:  Lucy is very good at being snuggled by guests yet the interactions need to be monitored.

Once potential volunteers meet with Leigh and it is decided that it is a good fit, new volunteers must fill out the necessary forms.  All forms for minors must also be signed by a parent/legal guardian.
